Discover the Eat Fresh Cooking Series at Zerbo’s Market & Bistro

If you’ve been looking for a fun, hands-on way to level up your kitchen skills while enjoying a delicious, chef-guided meal, the Eat Fresh Cooking Series at Zerbo’s Market & Bistro is exactly what you need.

Held at the Commerce Township location (3000 E West Maple Rd), this popular series brings guests into an interactive cooking experience led by Chef Celeste Ivey of Patisserie Ci. Each class focuses on fresh, flavorful recipes using quality ingredients—many of which you can find right in Zerbo’s Market.

Next Up: Indian Summer

Wednesday, August 12, 2026 | 6:30–8:30 PM

Embark on a global flavor journey with:

  • Chickpea Tikka Masala simmered in a fragrant, spiced tomato cream sauce

  • Golden Onion Brown Rice

  • Crisp Mixed Greens Salad

  • Warm, pillowy naan

  • Sweet, crunchy nut clusters for dessert

Tickets are $89 (plus a small service fee). Spots are limited, so reserve yours soon by clicking here.

What to Expect

These aren’t passive demonstration classes. You’ll actively participate, learning practical techniques you can take home, then sit down and enjoy the full meal you helped create. Classes typically run 6:30–8:30 PM on select Wednesdays and feel like a lively mix of cooking lesson, dinner party, and local night out.

Past themes have included Weeknight Wonder, Southern Comfort, Tastes of Autumn, Spaghetti with a Twist, and more. Upcoming nights after Indian Summer include Asian Street Fair (September 9), A Night in Florence (October 14), and Company for Dinner (November 11).

Why It Fits Zerbo’s Perfectly

Zerbo’s has been a Metro Detroit staple since 1958, known for specialty groceries, organic and natural products, prepared foods, and the full-service Bistro in Commerce. The Eat Fresh series extends that commitment to quality ingredients and good food into an educational, social setting. It’s ideal for date nights, friends looking for something different from the usual dinner out, or anyone who wants to cook more confidently at home.

Whether you’re a confident home cook or just starting to experiment in the kitchen, the Eat Fresh Cooking Series offers a relaxed, delicious way to learn something new while supporting a longtime local business. Grab a friend (or come solo and make new ones), roll up your sleeves, and get ready to eat fresh.
